Golden Pen is a brainchild of one of India’s most celebrated crime reporter S. Hussain Zaidi and an International Marketing veteran Jaspinder Singh Kang. Established in 2018 with a motto of ‘Writers First’, we are a one-of-a-kind content curation company focusing on turning potential writers dream into reality.

Over the years, we have built a pool of exclusive content created by our skilled writers mentored by our co-founder Hussain Zaidi. For producers and production houses seeking cutting-edge content and stories for their audiences, we are the go-to company. The content can be adapted for various formats like TV shows, web series, and movies.

Since inception, we have identified, screened, mentored, nurtured and promoted seven writers so far, known and new. In the digital age where content is truly the king, we are a one-stop ‘Content Curation’ shop specializing in the crime and thriller genre, operating under the banner of Hussain Zaidi Presents and providing untapped talent to the Indian publishing industry as well as the film industry.
Ensuring focus on our core competence, we accelerated from a new entrant to developing double-digit content within two years. The content is either an adaptation and/or customization of existing content or developing originals for our valued partners by being involved at creative level from scratch. We have worked with reputed producers like MatchBox Pictures, SLB Productions, Endemol Shine India, Azure Entertainment and MyFM India to name a few.

We proudly call ourselves a ‘Media Agnostic’ company for creating original high-value content for our esteemed publishing partner, Westland: an Amazon company, along with adapting our works for feature films, direct-to-digital films, web shows, and audio contents under the leadership of our founders.
Hussain Zaidi is India’s best-selling author and thus, a talent magnet attracting aspiring authors with a distinctive story-telling voice but who have no resources and direction to launch themselves. Zaidi evaluates the stories on various parameters and then, gradually grooms and guides the writers to unleash their full potential.
Jaspinder Singh Kang brings to the table 25 years of marketing and commercial experience in the Corporates and Media Production Houses. With Kang’s expertise, we ensure our content reaches the right set of audiences through like-minded production partners.
We plan to continue with our endeavour by expanding our pool of writers as well as our production partners by tying up with more Producers/Production Houses.
